The Mountain That kept Its Secret

by Janet Ariel

A few years ago, we were invited to build a home on an extremely secluded 50 acres, deep in the Redwood Forest. We lived in a small town called Ben Lomond, California, with only one stoplight.

Our road, Love Creek, was well known for devastating mudslides, but it was also known for the many stories of strange creatures being seen in the rugged terrain and dense forests. We lived ten miles down a paved road, followed by another ten miles down a winding mountain dirt road.

We chose to build our house high on a mountain that looked out over a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains. Nowhere I have ever seen colors and smelled smells like in Ben Lomond. The earth, the Redwoods, and the ferns filled the forest air with a scent that was completely its own.

Every afternoon, after working on the house, we would walk up to the peak of the mountain to look down at the work we had completed that day. It was a peaceful way to bring closure to a long day of work.

One day, we decided to visit the Bigfoot Museum in a nearby little town. Michael Rugg, the owner, had seen Bigfoot many times while growing up, and he was obsessed with finding one again. There, hanging on the wall, was a giant map covered with big thumbtacks marking recent sightings.

At our property, we only had wood heat indoors for cooking and heating, and we had a propane kitchen outside that we used during warmer weather.

One day, we went to get a load of firewood. As we drove up our mountain, we saw bushes in the distance rustling. We stopped the vehicle and got out.

Then we both froze.

Just near us, and slightly out of our line of sight, came the biggest scream, growl, wail, and cry I had ever heard. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced. Whatever had made that sound had to be enormous.

We never saw what was making the noise.

On the weekend, after another long week of work, we once again walked up the winding trail to the peak of the mountain. Wildflowers of many colors grew along the way.

When we arrived at the top, we both stopped in astonishment.

There were two piles of white feathers.

The piles looked as if every feather had been carefully plucked from a bird and then smashed together in a bowl, as though the entire collection of feathers had been turned over and lifted carefully away.

There was no blood. There were no body parts. Even the leaves beneath the feathers had not been disturbed.

For days, we thought about the mystery, but we had no explanation.

What made it even stranger was that there were no white birds living in that forest. There were mountain lions, bobcats, and wild hogs throughout the area, making it difficult for a white bird to survive there unnoticed.

A couple of months later, I was cooking outdoors when, on one side of the property, I heard that scream again.

The sound seemed to move across the 50 acres. It was extremely vocal, and I could hear it traveling from one part of the property to another.

The last place I heard it was near the garden we worked in every day.

The next morning, when we arrived at the garden, there, on the side of the road, was another pile of white feathers.

We never got an answer as to why they were there.

Years passed, but I never forgot the cries, the feathers, or those memories from the mountain.

Eventually, I became interested in reading about metaphysical subjects. That was when I came across a thought provoking article about Dr. Emoto's Water Experiment.

The idea was fascinating to me. Water has consciousness, and we are mostly water. I found Dr. Emoto's work very intriguing.

One night, while I was in the shower, I decided to try something I had never done before.

I decided to speak to the water.

I should interject here that I believe the Four Elements and Spirit are all that is real here. The Elements invite you to work with them.

I had also learned that one of the true names for Bigfoot is Chatuse.

As I stood in the shower, I thought about the idea that water could act as a pure channel between us and consciousness. You can ask water to send or bring you messages.

So I asked a simple question. "Is there a Chatuse I can speak to?"

Right away, I heard: "Hi. I'm Bella. I'm a young one."

I was stunned.

For several years now, Bella and I have had a telepathic connection.

Bella told me she was 300 years old when I first met her, which means she is now 309.

According to Bella, they are interdimensional creatures that can pop in and out of our reality, somewhat like scavengers. They do not live hidden away somewhere, which is why, she explained, they cannot simply be found.

I asked Bella over and over again to show herself to me.

She always replied that I would be frightened.

Eventually, I simply gave up asking.

Then, one night, as I was drifting off to sleep, something happened.

I saw an adult Bigfoot walking through the forest, with a platinum haired daughter walking beside him.

I instantly sat up in bed.

"Bella, was that you?"

"Yes."

It was Bella and her father!

Over the years, I asked her many questions. But there was one thing she told me that I will never forget.

"You know, I have been one of your guides ever since you lived on that mountaintop."

I asked her why she had not told me sooner. Her answer stopped me.

"You would not have believed me."
